Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things.  --Phillipians 4:8

I need to spend some time dwelling on this verse.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds myself thinking about things that are the complete opposites of what is mentioned here.  I used to be a worrier just filled with anxiety about "what if."  That's a stronghold that's been gone for a while, but I find myself these days thinking about the "why" of things that are in the past.  Silly.  The past has passed.  Unfortunately, it isn't always that easy to let it stay there.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the most earth-shattering, ball dropping, unexpected news I'd ever received.  Three years have passed and I can't say there's a day that goes by lately that I don't think about it.  I'm pretty sure that isn't healthy.  I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be thinking about what was a lie, what was wrong, what was ugly, what was shameful.  

In reality, I should be celebrating.  I should be celebrating what is true, what is noble, what is right, what is pure, what is admirable because all of that is still here.  It's here and it's better and it's lasting.
